With twenty years experience as writer, director, agency creative and strategy lead Jason Wulfsohn has worked across multiple platforms, including broadcast commercials, digital content, branded entertainment and feature films. As a commercials director he has helmed numerous award-winning advertising campaigns for brands that include Sony, Toyota, Disney, Microsoft, Nike, Vizio, 1800Flowers and Honda.
In 1998 Jason launched Jam Media, a broadcast production company that produced several hundred TV spots for leading agencies and brands over a period of ten years. In 2008 he co-founded ONE/x, an independent ad agency, built upon an integrated relationship between traditional and digital media. As executive creative director he oversaw work for clients in consumer electronics, information technology, action sports, financial services and pharmaceuticals. He was also the founder of the ONE/m Network, launched in 2012, one of the largest advertising and audience networks developed for emerging markets, with an emphasis on Africa, South East Asia and South America.
In 2013 he was a key member of the investor consortium that acquired digital performance agency VisiSeek, that was later merged with Invertise, a programmatic display platform for agencies and performance marketers. The new agency group was launched in 2014 as AUDIENCEX and today is a leading advertising technology and marketing company, recently ranked number 416 on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States. As co-founder and company COO Jason provides strategic, creative and product leadership within the organization and focuses on agency and client relationships that include Ford, Warner Brothers, Ubisoft, MGM, Microsoft, Mercedes, Intuit, Suzuki and Asus.
His first short form directing experience was on behalf of non-profits like Rock The Vote, Save The Children and The Packard Foundation, work that led to directing stints with Satellite/Propaganda and Bruce Dowad & Associates. In 2002 he directed THE BONE SNATCHER, a supernatural thriller set on the Skeleton Coast in Namibia, that was released by First Look Media in North America and Overseas Film Group internationally.
In 2008 he co-wrote and directed the feature film TRACING COWBOYS, recipient of the AFI HDNet Award for best feature, and distributed in by Vanguard Cinema. Current feature projects include ODYSSEY DAWN, a political thriller set against the backdrop of the Arab Spring in Libya, as well as BILLION DOLLAR MIRAGE, based on the true story of Glenn Stewart, the man at the center of the largest credit default in the history of the Middle East.
His short films have won top honors at numerous film festivals, including the Hamptons International Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, AFI Dallas and Cinequest.
Jason also works as a consultant for companies and organizations seeking to leverage the power of data analytics, machine learning and predictive technologies - from political communications to healthcare and entertainment. He regular collaborates with non-profits and advocacy groups (including Save the Children, National Audubon Society, Planned Parenthood, Vision Care International and St. Vincent De Paul), and is the founder of Paths of Healing, an educational and support resource for those dealing with chronic disease, with a focus on cancer treatment and prevention. In 2018 he was one of several founders of Lucid Science, a transformational pathology solution for volumetric and VR presentation of tissue, with a focus on multiple cancer categories and ground-breaking immunotherapy treatments.
Jason earned a BA and MA in English Literature from Cambridge University and went on to complete an MFA at USC Film School where he received the John Huston directing scholarship. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.
